Jacksonville Jaguars 38, Oakland Raiders 31

The Raiders wasted a great offensive effort yesterday in Jacksonville.  Jason Campbell had his best game of the year for the Raiders yesterday.  He completed 21 of 30 passes for 324 yards with 3 TD passes and 0 INTs.  Kyle Boller replaced Campbell for a few plays after he left the game with a stinger.  Boller completed 1 of 3 passes for 20 yards with 0 TD passes and 1 INT.  Darren McFadden carried the ball 16 times for 123 yards (7.7 ypc) with 2 TD runs and he also caught 3 passes for 86 yards (28.7 avg) with 1 TD grab.  Michael Bush pitched in with 5 carries for 22 yards (4.4 ypc) in this game.  TE Zach Miller (4 rec, 68 yards) and WR Louis Murphy (6 rec, 59 yards, TD) led the way for the Raiders through the air in this game.  The Raiders finished up with 153 yards on 25 carries (6.1 ypc) and they also completed 22 of 33 passes for 323 yards.

Safety Tyvon Branch (6 tackles, 1 pass defensed and 1 interception), OLB Kamerion Wimbley (6 tackles, 1/2 a sack and 2 tackles for a loss) and safety Michael Huff (5 tackles) led the way for the Raiders’ “D” in this game.  The Jaguars finished up with 234 yards rushing on 34 carries (6.9 ypc) and they also completed 11 of 22 passes for 151 yards in this game.  The Raiders are now 6-7 on the season.

Oakland Raiders 28, San Diego Chargers 13

The Raiders shocked the world yesterday by getting up off the mat and punching the Chargers in the mouth the whole game long!  Jason Campbell was little more than a game manager yesterday as he completed 10 of 16 passes for 117 yards with 1 TD pass and 0 INTs.  He also carried the ball 7 times for 37 yards (5.3 ypc) with a TD run.  Darren McFadden led the way on the ground for the Raiders yesterday with 97 yards rushing on 19 carries (5.1 ypc) with a TD run and he also caught 3 passes for 30 yards (10.0 avg).  Michael Bush was also a stud yesterday as he carried the ball 23 times for 95 yards (4.1 ypc) with 1 TD carry.  Marcel Reece only carried the ball 1 time for 5 yards but he also caught 3 passes for 42 yards (14.0 avg).  Rookie WR Jacoby Ford only caught 1 pass and it went for a 4-yard TD.  The Raiders finished up with 251 yards rushing on 52 carries (4.8 ypc) and they also completed 10 of 16 passes for 117 yards as they had possession of the ball for 38:39.

The defense was solid for the Raiders yesterday.  LB Rolando McClain (7 tackles) and safety Michael Huff (6 tackles, 1 tackle for a loss, 1 sack, 1 pass defensed, 1 QB hit and 1 interception) led the way for the Raiders’ D in this game.  The Chargers finished up with 21 yards rushing on 8 carries (2.6 ypc) and they also completed 23 of 39 passes for 265 yards.  The Raiders are now tied for second in the AFC West with the Chargers at 6-6.

Miami Dolphins 33, Oakland Raiders 17

The Raiders didn’t put up much of a fight yesterday against the Dolphins.   Bruce Gradkowski got the start at QB and he completed 17 of 32 passes for 252 yards with 1 TD pass and 2 INTs.  Darren McFadden had his second awful game in a row as he carried the ball 8 times for 2 yards (0.3 ypc) but he did catch 7 passes for 63 yards (9.0 avg).  Rookie WR Jacoby Ford carried the ball 1 time for 13 yards and he caught 4 passes for 108 yards (27.0 avg) with a TD grab.  Ford also returned the opening kickoff of this game 101 yards for a TD.  He returned 7 kickoffs for 208 yards (29.7 avg) overall yesterday as he was one of the only Raiders who came to play yesterday.  WR Louis Murphy also had a decent game with 4 catches for 73 yards (18.3 avg).  The Raiders finished up with 16 yards rushing on 12 carries (1.3 ypc) and they also completed 17 of 32 passes for 247 yards as they only had possession of the ball for 18:22.

Safeties Tyvon Branch (10 tackles, 3 tackles for a loss, 1 sack, 1 pass defensed and 1 QB hit) and Michael Huff (7 tackles, 1 tackle for a loss, 1 sack and 1 QB hit) were busy yesterday.  LB Rolando McClain pitched in with 8 tackles, 1 pass defensed, 2 QB hits and 1 interception was also busy in this game.  The Dolphins finished up with 186 yards rushing on 49 carries (3.8 ypc) and they also completed 17 of 30 passes for 285 yards.  The Raiders are now 5-6 on the season as that winning streak they had just a few weeks ago is looking like a mirage.

Pittsburgh Steelers 35, Oakland Raiders 3

The Raiders scored first in this game and it must have pissed the Steelers off!  Jason Campbell had a game to forget as he completed 7 of 19 passes for 70 yards with 0 TD passes and 1 INT.  The Raiders then summoned Bruce Gradkowski off the bench and things didn’t get much better.  Gradkowski completed 13 of 24 passes for 98 yards with 0 TD passes and 1 INT.  Gradkowski also carried the ball 1 time for 12 yards.  Michael Bush carried the ball 4 times for 33 yards (8.3 ypc) to lead the way on the ground for the Raiders in this game and he also caught 2 passes for 18 yards (9.0 avg).  Darren McFadden only rushed for 14 yards on 10 carries (1.4 ypc) and he also caught 2 passes for 16 yards (8.0 avg).  Johnnie Lee Higgins led the way in the passing game for the Raiders with 4 grabs for 37 yards (9.3 avg) last Sunday.  The Raiders finished up with 61 yards rushing on 16 carries (3.8 ypc) and they also completed 20 of 43 passes for 121 yards as they only had the ball for 27:13.

The Raiders played pretty awful in this game on D.  The Steelers finished up with 162 yards rushing on 33 carries (4.9 ypc) and they also completed 18 of 29 passes for 269 yards.  The Raiders’ highlight on D was when DE Richard Seymour whacked Ben Roethlisberger with a open hand.  “Big Ben” went down like a ton of bricks.  The Raiders are now 5-5 on the year.

Oakland Raiders 23, Kansas City Chiefs 20 in OT

The Raiders pulled out all of the tricks to beat the Chiefs yesterday.  Sebastian Janikowski his a 41-yard field goal with 3 seconds left in the 4th quarter to send them game into O.T. where he won it with a 33-yard field goal.  Jason Campbell had another solid game for the Raiders by completing 19 of 33 passes for 229 yards with 1 TD pass and 1 INT.  Darren McFadden carried the ball 17 times for 89 yards (5.2 ypc) and he threw a incomplete pass in this game.  Michael Bush pitched in with 17 yards rushing on 5 carries (3.4 ypc) in this game.  WR Jacoby Ford was the main man for the Raiders in this game.  He returned 4 kickoffs for 158 yards (39.5 avg) including one that he returned 94 yards for a TD.  Ford also caught 6 passes for 148 yards (24.7 avg) in this game.  He stole the ball out of the hands of Chiefs’ CB Brandon Flowers to set up Janikowski’s game tying field goal that sent this game into O.T.  Ford then caught a bomb in O.T. that set up Janikowski’s game winning field goal!  WR Johnnie Lee Higgins (3 rec, 26 yards), TE Brandon Myers (3 rec, 20 yards) and OT Khalif Barnes (1 rec, 2 yards, TD) also helped out in the passing game for the Raiders.  The Raiders finished up with 112 yards rushing on 26 carries (4.3 ypc) and they also completed 19 of 34 passes for 209 yards.

DL Richard Seymour (8 tackles, 1 tackle for a loss and 2 QB hits) and safety Michael Huff (8 tackles, 1 sack, 2 tackles for a loss and 1 QB hit) led the way for an inspired defensive unit.  Safety Hiram Eugene (fumble recovery) and CB Jeremy Ware (INT) also made big plays for the Raiders yesterday.   The Chiefs finished up with 104 yards rushing on 34 carries (3.1 ypc) and they also completed 20 of 35 passes for 200 yards.  The Raiders are now 5-4 on the season.

Oakland Raiders 33, Seattle Seahawks 3

The Raiders were awesome yesterday in totally destroying the Seattle Seahawks in the Black Hole!  Jason Campbell was outstanding for the Raiders yesterday as he completed 15 of 27 passes for 310 yards with 2 TD passes and 0 INTs.  Darren McFadden led the way for the Raiders on the ground in this game with 111 yards rushing on 21 carries (5.3 ypc) and he also caught 2 passes for 24 yards (12.0 avg).  Michael Bush also was solid with 9 carries for 51 yards (5.7 ypc) with a TD run and he also caught 1 pass for 55 yards yesterday.  Marcel Reece pitched in with 2 carries for 32 yards (16.0 ypc) and he also caught 3 passes for 90 yards (30.0 avg) with a TD grab.  WR Darrius Heyward-Bey stepped up and he had his best game of his NFL career as he had 5 grabs for 105 yards with a TD.  The Raiders finished up with 239 yards rushing on 39 carries (6.1 ypc) and they also completed 15 of 27 passes for 306 yards yesterday!

The Raiders had 8 sacks yesterday as they were in Matt Hasselbeck’s face all day long!  Safety Tyvon Branch led the way for the Raiders on D yesterday with 8 tackles, 1 tackle for a loss, 1 sack, 1 pass defensed, 1 QB hit and a interception.  DE/DT Richard Seymour was unstoppable with 4 tackles, 2 tackles for a loss, 2 sacks and 2 QB hits yesterday.  OLB Kamerion Wimbley also had a great game with 3 tackles, 3 tackles for a loss, 2 sacks and 2 QB hits.  The Seahawks finished up with 47 yards rushing on 19 carries (2.5 ypc) and they also completed 13 of 32 passes for 115 yards in this game!  The Raiders are now 4-4 on the year.

Oakland Raiders 59, Denver Broncos 14

The Raiders took the Broncos behind the woodshed, destroying them on their own field!  Jason Campbell was a game manager today as he completed 12 of 20 passes for 204 yards with 2 TD passes and 0 INTs.  He also had 1 carry for 15 yards as he played very well in this game.  Darren McFadden was a unstoppable force for the Raiders in this game as he carried the ball 16 times for 165 yards (10.3 ypc) with 3 TD runs and he also caught 2 passes for 31 yards with a TD.  Michael Bush (15 carries, 52 yards, TD) and Marcel Reese (7 carries, 39 yards, TD) also pitched in on the ground for the Raiders in this game.  TE Zach Miller led the way through the air as usual with 3 grabs for 65 yards with a TD.  The Raiders finished up with 328 yards rushing on 52 carries (6.3 ypc) and they also completed 12 of 20 passes for 180 yards as they hogged the ball for 38:39!

Safety Mike Mitchell led a great Raiders’ effort on D with 5 tackles and 1 pass defensed.  CB Chris Johnson also made a huge impact on this game for the Raiders as he had 2 tackles, 2 passes defensed and a interception that he returned 30 yards for a TD.  DT LaMarr Houston & safety Tyvon Branch each had 1 fumble recovery apiece in this game.  The Broncos finished up with 75 yards rushing on 17 carries (4.4 ypc) and they also completed 12 of 29 passes for 165 yards.  The Raiders are now 3-4 on the season.

San Francisco 49ers 17, Oakland Raiders 9

The Raiders really laid an egg today in San Francisco.  Jason Campbell was simply awful as he completed 8 of 21 passes for 83 yards with 0 TD passes and 2 INTs.  He also carried the ball 7 times for 21 yards (3.0 ypc) today.  Michael Bush couldn’t get a whole lot going on the ground for the Raiders in this game.  He carried the ball 20 times for 47 yards (2.4 ypc) and he also caught 2 passes for 12 yards (6.0 avg).  Zach Miller (2 rec, 48 yards) and Darrius Heyward-Bey (3 rec, 19 yards) led the way for the Raiders in the passing game today.  Louis Murphy had 1 catch for 4 yards and he also had 1 carry for 43 yards in this game.  The Raiders finished up with 110 yards rushing on 30 carries (3.7 ypc) and they also completed 8 of 21 passes for 69 yards as they only had possession of the ball for 26:39.

Safeties Tyvon Branch (9 tackles) and Michael Huff (7 tackles) led a very dull effort by the Raiders’ D today.  DT Tommy Kelly really came to play for the Raiders though as he had 6 tackles. 1 tackle for a loss, 1 sack and 1 QB hit.  The Niners finished up with 158 yards rushing on 31 carries (5.1 ypc) and they also completed 16 of 33 passes for 191 yards.  The Raiders are now 2-4 on the year.

Oakland Raiders 35, San Diego Chargers 27

The Raiders won this game because they forced turnovers on special teams and defense.  The Raiders blocked punts (Rock Cartwright and Brandon Myers) on the first two possessions by the Chargers resulting in a safety and a TD (Hiram Eugene).  The defense also had their fair share of fun on the day.  Safety Michael Huff (11 tackles, 1 sack and 1 QB hit) and LB Kamerion Wimbley (8 tackles) led the way for the Raiders’ on D in this game.  But safety Tyvon Branch made the biggest play of the game for the Raiders when he recovered a Philip Rivers fumble late in the 4th quarter and he returned it 64 yards for a TD.  DT Lamarr Houston and safety Mike Mitchell also had fumble recoveries for the Raiders in this game.  The Chargers finished up with 91 yards rushing on 26 carries (3.5 ypc) and they also completed 27 of 42 passes for 415 yards.

Bruce Gradkowski started this game but he didn’t finish it as he got banged up.  He only completed 1 of 7 passes for 14 yards when he was in the game.  Jason Campbell replaced him as he was solid in completing 13 of 18 passes for 159 yards with 1 TD pass and 0 INTs.  Michael Bush made the most of his first start of the year as he carried the ball 26 times for 104 yards (4.0 ypc) with 1 TD run.  He also caught 3 passes for 31 yards (10.3 avg) in this game.  TE Zach Miller (6 rec, 62 yards, TD) and WR Louis Murphy (2 rec, 61 yards) led the way in the air for the Raiders.  The Raiders finished up with 111 yards rushing on 30 carries (3.7 ypc) and they also completed 14 of 25 passes for 168 yards.  The Raiders are now 2-3 on the year.

Houston Texans 31, Oakland Raiders 24

The Raiders fought hard yesterday but it just wasn’t enough to prevail against the Texans.  Bruce Gradkowski was so-so in completing 24 of 39 passes for 278 yards with 2 TD passes and 2 INTs.  Darren McFadden led the way on the ground for the Raiders in this game with 12 carries for 47 yards (3.9 ypc) and he also added 6 grabs for 82 yards (13.7 avg).  Michael Bush pitched in with 7 carries for 40 yards (5.7 ypc) with 1 TD run and he also caught 2 passes for 16 yards (8.0 avg).  Zach Miller had a huge game for the Raiders with 11 grabs for 122 yards (11.1 avg) with 1 TD grab.  RB Marcel Reese caught 1 pass for 13 yards for a TD and he also carried the ball 2 times for 7 yards (3.5 ypc) in this game.  The Raiders finished up with 118 yards rushing on 25 carries (4.7 ypc) and they also completed 24 of 39 passes for 245 yards.

Safety Michael Huff led the way for the Raiders in this game with 8 tackles and 1 pass defensed.  LB Rolando McClain (6 tackles, 1 tackle for a loss) and DT/DE Richard Seymour 6 tackles, 1 tackle for a loss) also had decent games for the Raiders yesterday.  The Texans finished up with 249 yards rushing on 36 carries (6.9 ypc) and they also completed 16 of 29 passes for 192 yards.  The Raiders are now 1-3 on the year.
