The Oakland Raiders need to bench JaMarcus Russell

The Oakland Raiders need to do something about JaMarcus Russell and that should be to bench him.  He has completed 51 of 121 passes (42.1%) for 606 yards with 1 TD pass and 4 INTs.  He has also carried the football 10 times for 30 yards (3.0 ypc) this season.  Russell has now turned the ball over 8 times already this season as he has lost 4 fumbles in addition to all of his pickoffs.  It’s really too bad that the Raiders don’t have much of an alternative to playing Russell.  I mean, Bruce Gradkowski and Charlie Frye also stink.  Maybe the Raiders are thinking about making a trade for Brady Quinn of the Browns.

I totally agree with you on this. He is only hurting the team and hurting himself. He is losing confidence each week and it could end up ruining his career, not just this year’s Raiders season. I like the idea of going for Brady Quinn, as he obviously can’t be happy in Cleveland and he is much better than anything the Raiders have now.
