The Raiders have signed 28-year old DT William Joseph.  The 6′5″, 308 pound Joseph didn’t play last season due to injury.  He has now played in 55 games in his NFL career and he has made 72 tackles, defensed 7 passes and forced 2 fumbles.  Joseph has been a bust thus far in his NFL career but sometimes putting on the Silver & Black motivates players.

The Raiders have signed WR Javon Walker to a 6-year, $55 million dollar contract.  Walker played in only 8 games for the Broncos last season and he caught 26 passes for 287 yards (11.0 avg).  Walker has now played in 72 games in his NFL career and he has caught 252 passes for 3,815 yards (15.1 avg) with 30 TD grabs.  If Walker stays healthy he will be the #1 WR for the Raiders.  The added bonus of signing Walker is that it will really bother his ex-coach…..Mike Shanahan.

The Raiders have signed OT Kwame Harris to a 3-year, $16 million dollar contract.  The 25-year old Harris has the size to dominate at 6′7″, 322 pounds but he’s never lived up to his potential.  Harris played in 12 games (0 starts) for the 49ers last season and he’s now played in 72 games (44 starts) in his NFL career.  The Raiders paid Harris starting money and it will be interesting to see if he proves to be worth it.

The Oakland Raiders sign safety Gibril Wilson

The Raiders have signed safety Gibril Wilson to a 6-year, $39 million dollar contract.  Wilson played in 13 games for the Giants last season and he made 92 tackles, defensed 7 passes and intercepted 4.  Wilson has now played in 52 games in his NFL career and he has made 365 tackles, defensed 27 passes, has 6 sacks, forced 6 fumbles and intercepted 11 passes.  This was a great move for the Raiders as Wilson is a run enforcer at the back of the defense and he’s also a playmaker in the passing game.
