The Oakland Raiders will use the bye week to heal

The bye week comes at a good time for the Raiders as it will give Josh McCown and LaMont Jordan some time to heal.  McCown proved to be a warrior as he was playing hurt since the 2nd game of the season.  He has completed 44 of 68 passes (64.7%) for 494 yards with 4 TD passes and 5 interceptions (75.2 QB Rating).  He also has carried the ball 9 times for 46 yards (5.1 ypc) so far this season.  When he gets healthy he will compete with Daunte Culpepper for the starting QB job.  LaMont Jordan has been outstanding this season for the Raiders who hope his back injury isn’t serious.  He has carried the ball 84 times for 424 yards (5.0 ypc) with 2 TD runs and he also has caught 12 passes for 128 yards (10.7 avg).  Even if Jordan isn’t ready to go, the Raiders will use the off week to get Dominic Rhodes back up to speed as he is ready to return after serving his suspension for violating the league’s substance abuse policy.  The Raiders have been amazing running the football as they have averaged 194.3 yards rushing per game and 5.3 yards per carry.  They will win a lot of games this season if they can keep that pace up.
