The Raiders Michael Huff has played pretty decent so far this season.  He has been a key little piece in the Raiders pass defense which has played much better than anyone expected them too.  Huff has played in all 12 games and has 57 tackles this season.

Oakland Raiders vs. Cincinnati Bengals

Blogged under Bloglockers,Front Page,This Week's Matchup Report by ravenhater on Saturday 9 December 2006 at 1:09 am

The Raiders have lost 5 games in a row.  The Bengals have gotten super-hot in winning their last 3 games.  The Bengals have out-scored their opponents 74-23 during the 3-game streak.

The Raiders will try to run the football against the Bengals.  The Bengals allow 114.3 yards rushing per game and 4.2 yards per carry so far this season.  Justin Fargas and RaShard Lee should have decent games running the ball.  If the Raiders can keep Aaron Brooks clean…and that’s a big IF….the Raiders should be able to move the ball.  The Bengals are allowing 243.6 net yards passing per game.  If Randy Moss was ever going to have a great game, this could be it.

The Bengals should just run the football against the Raiders.  Rudi Johnson (937 yards rushing) should have a great game against the Raiders defense which is allowing 132.8 yards rushing and 4.1 yards per carry so far this season.  Look for Carson Palmer (3,102 yards passing) to take some deep shots agains the Raiders defense with Chad Johnson (72 rec, 1,146 yards) and TJ Houshmandzadeh (65 rec, 776 yards).

The Bengals will demolish the Raiders in the Jungle!

Raiders give game to Texans in 23-14 loss

Blogged under Bloglockers,Front Page by ravenhater on Monday 4 December 2006 at 1:20 am

The Raiders offense was in too much of a giving mood on Sunday and it cost them the game.  Aaron Brooks completed 25 of 42 passes for 238 yards and 2 INTs.  Justin Fargas ran o.k. with 14 carries for 49 yards (3.5 ypc) and a TD.  Rashard Lee carried the ball 6 times for 42 yards (7.0 ypc) and caught 5 passes for 57 yards. Lee also lost a fumble that was returned for a TD by the Texans.  TE Randal Williams caught 6 passes for 46 yards, but he lost 2 fumbles.  Randy Moss added 4 receptions for 44 yards.

Kirk Morrison returned a David Carr fumble 35 yards for a Raiders TD.  Thomas Howard added 10 tackles.  The Raiders defense played very well on Sunday.  The Texans did carry the ball 32 times for 129 yards (4.0 ypc).  The Texans completed 7 of 14 passes, but they lost 5 yards net……..which is amazing!

The Raiders could have won this game if they could have just held on to the football.

Oakland Raiders vs. Houston Texans

The Texans have lost 4 of their last five games.  The Raiders have lost 4 in a row, but the last three only by a combined 15 points.

The Texans will run the football with Wali Lundy and Samkon Gado against the porous Raiders run defense that is allowing 133.1 yards rushing per game and 4.1 yards per carry this season.  As long as the O-Line gives David Carr time to throw, he will put up some numbers.  Andre Johnson (84 rec, 982 yards) and Eric Moulds could have big games.

The Raiders would like to run the football against the Texans with Justin Fargas.  The Texans are soft on run defense as they have allowed 116.3 yards rushing 4.2 yards per carry so far this season.  This could be a huge game for Aaron Brooks and Randy Moss as the Texans allow 231.5 net yards passing per game.

This should be a close football game, but for some reason I think the Raiders are going to win the game at home.
