Oakland Raiders vs. New York Jets

The Raiders have lost 8 games in a row and have lost their last 10 road games dating back to last season.  The Jets have won 2 in a row and 4 of their last five games and only need to win this game to make the playoffs.

The Raiders will likely try to run the football alot against a Jets defense that is allowing 133.1 yards rushing per game and 4.6 yards per carry.  The Jets pass defense isn’t that good either as they have allowed an average of 206.7 net yards passing per game.  Most NFL teams would take advantage of the weak Jets pass defense, but the Raiders can’t because they are horrible at pass-blocking as evidenced by the 70 times Raiders QBs have been sacked this season.

The Jets will also try to run the ball alot against the Raiders who have allowed 135.1 yards rushing per game and 4.0 yards per carry this season.  After the Jets establish a running game, Chad Pennington (3,195 yards passing) will go to work.  The Raiders have a solid pass defense but the Jets should have some success throwing the ball to Laveranues Coles (89 rec, 1,074 yards) and Jerricho Cotchery (75 rec, 908 yards) providing the Jets O-Line gives him time to throw.

The Jets will win this football game because they’re the better team.  The Raiders mailed this season in along time ago.
