Oakland Raiders vs. San Diego Chargers

The Raiders looked better last week with Aaron Brooks running the show, but they lost anyway.  The Chargers are surging as they have won four in a row and know lead the division.

Look for the Raiders to try to run the ball to control the clock and keep the Chargers defense off the field.  Justin Fargas (329 yards rushing) is now the main man (due to LaMont Jordan’s injury) and they could have success running the ball as the Chargers allow 4.2 yards per carry.  Aaron Brooks gives the Raiders a fighting chance and he seems to have a good synergy with Ronald Curry.  The Chargers have allowed 206.0 net yards passing, so if Brooks has time…..that’s a big IF…..the Raiders could have some success.

The Chargers will run the ball with LaDainian Tomlinson who’s been on fire.  Tomlinson has rushed for 1,037 yards with 19 TDs.  The Raiders defense allows 135.4 yards rushing per game and 4.0 yards per carry.  The Chargers should have success throwing the ball if they feel the need to.  Philip Rivers (2,307 yards passing) has been outstanding this season.

The Chargers should win this football game with ease, but the Raiders will be a little better with Brooks at QB.
