Raiders lose a tough one to Broncos 17-13
The Broncos scored 10 un-answered points in the 4th quarter to beat the Raiders. Andrew Walter completed 18 of 33 passes for 214 yards, but he lost 2 fumbles. Zack Crockett carried the ball 7 times for 40 yards (5.7 ypc). Lamont Jordan had a hard time with the Broncos D, carrying the ball 10 times for 12 yards (1.2 ypc) and a TD. Justin Fargas was going backwards as he carried the ball 8 times and lost 6 yards (-0.8 ypc). TE Randal Williams (5 rec, 61 yards) and Alvis Whitted (4 rec, 53 yards) led the Raiders in receiving.
Kirk Morrison led an outstanding effort by the defense, but it wasn’t enough. Fabian Washington (2 interceptions) and Nnamdi Asomugha (interception) did their part also. The Raiders held the running game of the Broncos to 63 yards on 26 carries (2.4 ypc). The Broncos completed 20 of 31 passes for 201 net yards passing.
There is no such thing as a moral victory in the NFL, so this loss really hurt because the Raiders should have won this game.
