Can we call up the old raider’s for help

I would think great Raiders like ted kendricks, lyle alzado, and the likes of hardnose guy’s like that would love to walk into to the locker room and not give the 2006 Raider’s a pregame psych-up,but a ass kicking for how they are embarresing themselves, but their long time fans. Can it be that of all the talent that comes out of our colleges these day’s this is the best “Big Al” can comeup with?Or,Has he(Al) totally lost his grip with modern day football. It’s been rumored for years Davis has had to much to do with coaching from his private box,but I think it’s got a lot to do with going after used up players like Randy Moss and such that keeps the Raiders a step and a half behind the rest othe NFL.I’ll go on dreaming of the day when the Raiders will not only be competitive, but winners again.

When will he learn?

You would think that throughout the years of semi-greatness and near Super Bowl glory folling the Madden years that Al Davis would have realized what a complete and total idiot he has become.  My first firm evidence came with the trade of Marcus Allen, I don’t care how old he was or was his currrent stats were, Allen was one of the best backs ever to play, probably the best third down back. Since then it has been a slew of steady, irresponsible idiocies committed by the Raiders proud but but ignorant owner. The steady stream of Heismen winner that don’t pan out, the poor treatment of Tim Brown, letting Grudden go(has a team ever before been between in the Super Bowl by thier previous years coach?)aquiring players based on past glory, not future potential.  If Davis is really a Raiders fan at heart, he will retire, sell the team(maybe Madden is looking to buy?) and let the Silver And Black get back to thier Commitment to Excellence and start winning again.

Raiders vs. Browns

These two teams really need a victory badly.

Look for the Browns to attempt to run the football on the Raiders.  The Raiders defense is allowing 166.0 yards rushing per game.  Reuben Droughns needs to get it going this year as he only has 59 yards rushing so far this season.  QB Charlie Frye should be able to relax in the pocket as the Raiders only have 2 sacks this season.  Look for Frye to attack short with Kellen Winslow (19 rec, 197 yards) and deep with Braylon Edwards (11 rec, 249 yards).

The Browns defense has been vulnerable to the run with teams averaging 134.0 yards rushing against them.  RB Lamont Jordan (29 carries, 55 yards) needs to have a good game to slow the Browns pass rush.  The Raiders have already allowed 15 sacks in 2 games this season.  Look for the Browns to blitz Andrew Walter (19.0 QB Rating) and take their chances with WR Randy Moss (6 rec, 79 yards).

The Browns should win this game by at least 10 points because they aren’t quitters like the Raiders are.

What’s with our team?

I thought that Art Shell coming back was going to be a great start for the Raiders this season.  The team needs to suck it up and listen to him (a.k.a. Jerry Porter) and come back from an 0-2 record deficit to turn around the season.  Like any Raider fan, majority of us will stand by out team even when they are losing again…And again…AND again, referring to the past few seasons.  But the thing is that there have been stretches where the Raiders have had losing seasons in their history, so we just need to stand by them!  If the offensive line can finally start blocking, then whoever they end up using as the QB starter (Andrew Walter, etc.) should do fine, seeing as Aaron Brooks ended up not doing as anticipated and is out for a while.  Well, they only have 2 losses, so they can bounce back.  Raider Nation and all of us fans need to support our team, so they can have a bright future ahead…to score MANY touchdowns in the upcoming games, seeing as they haven’t scored a lot of points yet this season!
